◾️Russian air defence forces shot down 26 Ukrainian drones on the night of 5 December, with a further 15 intercepted over the Sea of Azov and Crimea, the Defence Ministry said.
◾️Another 74 drones and a HARM missile were downed in various areas of the LPR and DPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, the defence ministry said.
◾️Ukraine lost two MiG-29 aircraft, one Mi-8 helicopter, up to 695 soldiers, 12 armoured vehicles and artillery units, including M777 and M109 Paladin, during the day, the MoD said.
◾️ZNPP management announced the 14th rotation of IAEA inspectors, who will meet at the plant on New Year's Day.
◾️Russian presidential aide for international affairs Ushakov said Putin would discuss the special operation in talks with the leaders of the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Iran.
◾️NATO will continue to support Ukraine despite the position of Hungary, Slovakia and the Netherlands, alliance Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said.
◾️The Ukrainian defence ministry said that following talks between the Ukrainian and Belgian defence ministers, Brussels had promised to hand over F-16 fighter jets in 2025.
