The United States will soon be visited by billions of cicadas (two broods of cicadas emerging simultaneously) in the spring of this year—
A couple interesting things to note:
1. Early American Colonists called swarms of cicadas “locust plagues”
2. Illinois is allegedly set to experience the highest number of cicadas. Or as the article states, “Illinois will be in the middle of the cicadas”
3. According to scientists, April will be the month they begin to appear
4. This sudden appearance of cicadas hasn’t happened since the Louisiana Purchase (1803)
What else is Illinois expected to be “right in the middle” of this spring?
The “X” crossing of the 2017 & 2024 Great American Eclipses
Like the cicadas, this too will take place in April, specifically on 4/8/2024
The 2024 Democratic National Committee is set to meet In Illinois aswell this year
