🇮🇱❓🇮🇱 The Galilee declaring Independence?
In an article published on Walla News (in the Finance tab?), It was claimed that "At a meeting of the members of the Confrontation Line Forum, it was decided to announce on Independence Day the establishment of the State of Galilee and unilateral disengagement from the State of Israel. This extreme step will be accompanied by additional actions that they are planning". Israel's Independence day is on the 13th of May.
This extreme step was announced after they expressed their discontent with the Israeli government's attitude to the war in the North, saying that businesses, public life, tourism and much of the life in the North is dead. Most importantly, they say that the final straw is the negative comment of Benny Gantz when asked about the possibility of returning to their homes on the 1st of September: "What will happen if they return a few months after the September 1?".
Whether this means a lot, something, or nothing at all, I don't know, but, this shows the extreme rifts that are being formed inside the Israeli society, and a testimony to the immense pressure that Hezbollah is exerting on the state of Israel.
