Qatar Deal

A senior member of Hamas, Ghazi Hamad told the Hezbollah-affiliated TV channel:

🔴 There was no progress in Qatar talks, what the Americans say is not true, and Israel is to blame (not Hamas, of course. They are never to blame).

🔴 We will never allow the occupation (that's what they call us) to remain in the Gaza Strip, anywhere.

🔴 Israel wants to leave a loophole in the agreement, so that it can return to war later, we will not agree to that.

🔴 We add: no one talks about our abductees anymore, they have been forgotten. Everyone there is busy ending the war and restoring Hamas to power.

In short, since the beginning of the days of "negotiations" there has been no progress. Hamas wants to turn this war into another round, after which it will return to rule as before, and rebuild its military power, under international immunity. An Israeli government that agrees to this - has finished its journey.

Retire

A 65-year-old couple retiring in 2025 with average earnings will receive an estimated $1.34 million in lifetime benefits, while contributing only $720,000 in today’s dollars.

That shortfall—more than $600,000 per couple—is being made up by younger workers.
