Today is the 58th anniversary of Israeli air and naval forces attacking the USS Liberty (AGTR-5), a US Navy electronic intelligence ship on June 8th 1967, during the Arab-Israeli Six-Day War. 34 Americans were killed and 171 wounded, more than two-thirds of the crew.
