Today I was misgendered by a man with a septum piercing in Austin, he also has a tattoo of an eagle on his lower back (I only know that because he was bending down stocking a shelf)
Long story short, I asked him where I could find a onion-less salsa, as onions are racist and were forced upon the local tribes by white settlers. He told me and I quote "I am sorry sir, we do not carry onion-less salsa anymore as it was discontinued when we were bought by Amazon, have a good day sir"
I am now looking for more inclusive, welcoming local farmers markets in the Austin area to take my business. I am only willing to go within a 30 mile radius of Downtown Austin, as that is the extent my e-scooter will go. If anyone can recommend I would really be grateful. 🙏🏽
