🇸🇾 🏴 - Sunni jihadism in a nutshell: "If Muhammad were sent again, he would join NATO"
Qatar-backed Muslim Brotherhood cleric Yusuf al Qaradawi was one of the main agitators who incited both jihad in Syria and Palestinian suicide bombings against civilians.
It would surprise many to learn he explicitly spoke in favor of NATO many times. While this specific newspaper was from the time of Arab Spring (May 2012), he also backed the US invasion of Afghanistan, as his preferred mujahideen faction was resisting the Taliban at the time.
Sunnis justify the Armenian genocide, Assyrian genocide, massacres of Alawites/Druze/Christians across the coast and Suweida, bombing of churches in Egypt and Syria, among other atrocities under the pretext that Christians are "fifth columns for the west". However, no greater fifth column exists than them.
Hence, they celebrate the NATO bombing of Serbia which killed and wounded thousands of Serbian Christians while crying and protesting over the NATO bombing in Iraq. They celebrate when Israel bombs Lebanon and Iran but cry when it bombs Gaza.
These people aren't driven by any morals but pure spite and hatred for non-Muslims. It's ironic that westerners who "hate foreign wars" will thus shake hands and seek to strengthen these people who will do anything to drag them to yet another foreign war and score more brownie points.

🌾 🌍 🚜 JPMorgan warns a massive global food supply crisis could begin next year as fertilizer shortages tighten agricultural supply.
JPMorgan is the latest institutional research desk to warn that the next global food crisis may already be taking shape, driven by what its analysts describe as the "Five Ws": War, Weather, Warehousing, Water, and Waste.
In a new report titled Food Security Is National Security: A Compounding Storm, a team led by London-based senior global economist Nora Szentivanyi warned that disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz and the emergence of a potentially historic El Niño could weaken crop yields, constrain agricultural production, and keep food inflation elevated through the first half of 2027.
"Successive shocks since COVID have compounded, eroding food production capacity and keeping food price pressures elevated into 2027," Szentivanyi said, warning that "this is not a short-lived shock; it has reduced the likelihood of near-term disinflation, and the food ...
