Watching an interview on the church situation in Michigan (Ward Radio on YouTube) sounds like from a local man who know family and friends that was in the congregation there is estimated that there was 20-30 people stuck under the rubble in the fire, members of the church ran to help the man when he rammed the building and was being fired on, being a member of this faith during that time of the meeting first people he first would have been in contact with would have been young parents and toddles and babies as they don’t have nursery during the main meeting and sacrament was just passed so fussy kids are in the foyers at that time, heartbreaking, just watching what updates I can as it hits close to home, side note our president or prophet of our faith passed away last night, he was 101, so members were already grieving that loss. Just giving you what I am hearing as a member of that faith.
The church handbook says to not to carry guns in the church but typically there are a few that do anyway, typically police or prior military, when it was talked in the halls at our church, it was mentioned that at least our congregation typically has at least two people carrying at all times. Our worldwide meeting happens this coming weekend and I’m interested to see what church leaders will have to say about this and addressing changing of that handbook guideline for countries that can conceal carry.

I spoke with economist Philip Pilkington about the unrest spreading across France, Italy and Albania.
He thinks we're watching the early stages of something much bigger.
One statistic really caught my attention.
According to Pilkington, France's inflation-adjusted household food consumption has fallen roughly 6.4% since 2022. He suspects the poorest households have suffered far steeper cuts.
Now add another surge in energy prices.
Pilkington pointed to rice futures rising 70% this year, wheat and sugar climbing 40%, and fertilizer shortages threatening next year's harvest.
His prediction is that the worst food inflation could arrive this winter or next spring.
And there's a political problem sitting right on top of it.
