🇮🇱⚔️🇵🇸 Israeli liberal newspaper, Haaretz, published several testimonies from IDF soldiers that partook in the invasion of Gaza detailing the war crimes they or their colleagues committed:
🔶 A mobilised soldier recounted he and his platoon shot dead 4 unarmed Palestinians in Khan Yunis, an elderly man and three teenage boys
🔶 A sniper admitting he shot and killed Palestinians waiting or seeking food and aid
🔶 Drone operators who knowingly dropped grenades on Palestinian civilians
🔶 Another IDF soldier recounted how his commanding officer executed an unarmed Palestinian for no reason at all
🔶 An HR officer recounted how her unit used machineguns and tanks to kill 5 unarmed Palestinians trying to cross from south Gaza to north Gaza. Later a bulldozer buried them to "prevent diseases from spreading".
🔶 Same officer said how the surviving Palestinian from the previous incident she described was detained for one night and one IDF soldier urinated on him causing amusement to the other IDF members who witnessed the event
🔶 Another anonymous IDF soldier recounted how one of his officers executed a surrendering Palestinian (unclear if he was a Hamas member). The incident was swept under the rug by the local HQ and reported as a "terrorist elimination".
🔶 The article mentions widespread looting by IDF soldiers who took everything they could carry from the homes of Gazans: electric appliances, gold jewelry, necklaces, "everything"
🔶 An IAF officer who never saw combat on the ground reported how the IAF would plan airstrikes with no regard for collateral damage and potential civilian casualties with the IAF knowing every time an airstrike was carried out that civilians died
Haaretz mentions that the number of suicides among serving or demobilised IDF soldiers has skyrocketed after October 7th 2023 with every soldier who testified suffering from some form of psychological trauma as a result of their actions or the actions of their colleagues who they helped cover up.
Haaretz also complains that the Israeli ministry of defense doesn't treat the deaths of IDF members who committed suicide as "fallen in combat" and the fact that the IDF doesn't recognise "moral injuries" and is not offering counseling and rehabilitation to veterans who have a difficult time readjusting to civilian life.
America’s bees and beekeepers are losing a valuable ally just when they need its help most.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture plans to soon close the Beltsville Agricultural Research Center, a 6,500-acre agricultural research station in Maryland that is home to the nation’s premier bee research and disease diagnosis hub, the Beltsville Bee Research Lab.
The closure comes at a critical moment for bees. In winter 2025, many beekeepers lost over half their operations as pesticide-resistant varroa mites spread, bringing deadly viruses. The losses have led to low honey production, and soaring fuel costs have made shipping bees cross-country for agricultural pollination increasingly expensive, further stressing the industry.
