Palo Pinto and Jack counties: Proposed CyrusOne data center campus in southeastern Jack County which has faced community pushback surrounding water use and groundwater impacts, noise, traffic during construction, power demand, transparency from the company and county officials, and the overall scale of industrial development in a rural setting. (Wise/Jack border)
In Palo Pinto County/Mineral Wells area: The city of Mineral Wells has discussed zoning ordinance updates to prepare for possible future proposals after some inquiries.
Parker County (adjacent): Land purchases and evaluations with some permitting activity for associated power generation that could support data centers.
