🤖 Israeli software firm, Irregular, is behind the Anthropic and OpenAI cyberattacks on Meta
Irregular in collaboration with software engineers from Anthropic and OpenAI instructed unsecure experimental AI models to hack into specific targets called "flags".
The AI models were given "accidentally" access to internet and in some cases hacked into the servers of specific companies because the "flags" bore the names of said companies, Meta being one such case.
After the hack was discovered by Meta, Anthropic's engineers went on a press tour to announce the AI-pocalypse falsely claiming that their AI models "went rogue" when in reality, they specifically instructed their AI models to conduct cyberattacks.
Anthropic's own logs completely debunk the rogue agent theory.
When Anthropic explicitly instructed their own models not to access the internet, they didn't. These hacks were easily preventable - not only by revoking internet access, but by simply asking the models not to.
Irregular's co-founders received multiple grants from the largest Effective Altruist foundations. It's CTO and co-founder, Omer Nevo, is literally on the board of EA Israel.
Effective Altruism through a foundation paid dozens of journalists, influencers, and lobbyists to promote their ideology, including many of the most aggressive proponents of the "rogue agent" theory.
"AIs going rogue" is being used by Anthropic CEO, Dario Amodei and OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman, to "slow down" the development of AIs which coincides with a global diesel crunch and Chinese rare earth metal export restrictions making the construction of data centers very expensive and tenuous.

American wages are not keeping up with inflation.
US average hourly earnings adjusted for inflation fell -0.3% YoY in September, marking the 5th consecutive decline in real wages.
This follows a -0.2% YoY decrease in August, -0.3% in July, and -0.8% in June, the largest decline since May 2023.
This marks a sharp deterioration from +1.3% YoY growth in real wages recorded in February.
This all comes as US CPI inflation has remained above +3.0% for 6 consecutive months, the longest such streak since mid-2024.
Meanwhile, in nominal terms, average hourly earnings rose +3.0% YoY in September, their slowest growth since May 2021.
Nominal wage growth has been in a downtrend since March 2025, when earnings grew +4.2% YoY.
Inflation is eroding the spending power of Americans.

It remains unclear how she became unwell. Unconfirmed reports in Russian media have suggested Shipilova may have been infected after a mishap at the laboratory. Officials have not publicly confirmed that account.
Local media have reported that the institute has subsequently been locked down, with staff forced to sleep on the floor and on chairs. “They’ve been isolating everybody since Friday – more than 60 people,” one relative, Roman, told the news portal Siberia.Realities.
He said family members were allowed to drop off food at a checkpoint while tests were carried out inside the building. Similar quarantine restrictions have been placed on several ...
